Ms Amina "Ahmadi"


MissAmina Ahmadybrings mix of quality education and rich experience to the Ministry of Finance (MoF). Sheholds a bachelor’s degree from the Economics Faculty of Kabul University in 2010 and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from American University of Afghanistan in 2015.

Immediately after completing her under-graduate education in 2010. ShejoinedAfghanistan Planning Directorate (APD) at Ministry of Finance (MoF) as Manager of Analysis and Forecasting of Custom Dutyand later in the same year the Medium Taxpayers Office (MTO) as a Manager of NGOs.

In April 2011, she was appointed as a Non-Tax Revenue (NTR) Director through a competitive and transparent recruitment process. During one year ofher working as NTR Director, she took several initiatives to improve NTR collection. For instance, she developed a Non-Tax Revenue generation initiative which included reforming non-tax revenue collection procedures and introducing new sources of revenues in a number of line ministries and other organizations.This resulted in estimated increase of 3Billion/AFS in Non-Tax Revenues for the government.

As a result of her outstanding performance as NTR director, she was appointed as the Directorof Small Taxpayers Office (STO) and worked in this position for almost two years.

During her work as STO Director, she worked on several important projects that resulted in substantial revenue increase from the small taxpayers. For instance, she implemented the Tax Assessment Project in Districts of Kabul which increased the number of total taxpayers from 42000 to 100000 which in turn resulted in to an increase of 1 Billion/AFS in the total revenue.

Based on her proven track record in bringing effective reforms in STO,Miss. Ahmady was assigned as the Director of Medium Taxpayers (MTO) in October 2015 to bring much needed reformsin MTO to improve transparency in tax collection from medium taxpayers. Over the last one year she has brought significant reforms in the department which hasconsiderably improved standardization and transparencyin tax collection from medium taxpayers.

Miss. Ahmadyhas received several appreciation letters from different organizations for her excellent services for Afghan community. These include a First Grade Appreciation Letter from Afghan President Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, given to her forher outstanding services to the Afghan Business Communityand her achievements in standardizing and bringing transparency in tax collection and a letter of appreciation from Her Excellency the First Lady, Rula Ghani, given to her for her excellent services to Afghan community through her initiatives.


Miss Amina Ahmady is fluent in Dari, Pashto, English and Urdu languages.
