Service standards

The Afghanistan Revenue Department (ARD) is committed to improving service delivery to its taxpayers. The ARD is working on developing service standards for making decisions that affect you.

The ARD is supporting the development of a ‘service culture’ based on responsiveness, professional performance standards, and knowledgeable tax officials with the skills necessary to respond to taxpayer requests for information and assistance.

Our service standards are about how long you can expect to wait for a particular decision. This is a free service and you can complain to the supervisor if the service is not given within the set time, provided that you have given us all requested information to make the relevant decision.

 

In addition, if at any time you need to seek clarification of any decision made by a taxation officer, you may seek that clarification through the officer’s supervisor.
